Three reasons you should choose Scotland for an Autumn incentive trip

Autumn in Scotland is all about getting out of the city and enjoying the wonders of our beautiful countryside. We love building programmes for this time of year in and around Highland Perthshire, where the autumnal colours of the countryside are arguably some of the most beautiful in the world.

1. Exploring the magical landscape

We think the best way for incentive guests to explore rural Scotland is in self-drive 4x4s – both on and off road; mountain biking or hiking. This works wonderfully when you include a surprise Scottish activity, like deer photo-stalking, laser clay shooting, a whisky tasting by a loch or a gun-dog workshop; complete with a picnic lunch on the hillside.

2. Forage, fish and enjoy

Autumn is the perfect time to go foraging in Scotland. Groups will be led by expert foragers as they find brambles, chestnuts and mushrooms, or if you’re on the coast, groups can go seaweed and shellfish foraging, or visit an oyster farm. Then it’s time to cook up a storm as a professional chef takes their ingredients and turns them into a delicious lunch. Also in season is Scottish game, like duck, venison, grouse and partridge. And we must not forget salmon – catch the end of the fishing season (around October), or see the famous leaping salmon that swim upstream at this time of year.

3. Are you brave enough?

For groups that are in Scotland over Halloween, a visit to Edinburgh’s Old Town is a must. Whether it’s a ghost tour through the old town or a trip into the vaults beneath the city, it’ll be a thrill on the spookiest day of the year. For the ultimate spook-fest, smaller groups can even stay in a haunted castle!
